Special Days for Meditation — November 2020

The pandemic continues to spread globally. We could have been doing much better but our inability to work collectively is exposed, rather starkly. The whole situation required people, communities and nations to come together and tackle it. But the selfishness and careless attitude of a few affects everyone at large.
The spiritual factor for the persistent spreading of the virus is our inner fears and the fear of the virus. The uncertainties brought forth by the pandemic has surfaced the suppressed and hidden insecurities and behaviour in all individuals. Very few have been able to accept the change in the external circumstances. Regarding the pandemic itself, the more we are afraid and panicked, the conditions manifest for this virus to survive and thrive.
A vaccine may bring eventual relief, but if we do not learn from this at a collective level and improve our attitude and approach, similar incidents repeat till we learn!
Meanwhile, please continue to practice the Shielding technique for the virus and also pray to Goddess Adi Shakti daily. These two aspects help amazingly, as well as takes care of our mental health.

The energies of November are diverse and form a wide gamut. They help us tune-up to the difficult situation prevalent and the testing times ahead. There will be a shift of energies every five days this month. There will also be amazing energies during Diwali and during the occasion of Shiva Deepa and Vishnu Deepa. The Lunar Eclipse at the end of the month is also extremely important.
These are special opportunities for us to strengthen our Sadhana and work on balancing our spiritual and material aspects of life. Take the help of these energies to grow, to change and orient yourself towards a righteous living.
There are numerous occasions like this where we receive new energies and Light. They help in cleaning and removing blocks within. This opens us to see the Truth better, to open up and facilitates the inner nature of Love and Peace to manifest in our lives. It is up to us to allow this influence as well as strengthen it further with our efforts. The energies and Light would be useless if we go back to our usual ways later.
••      ••       ••
We also have a new Personality who will preside over this month. We can refer to Him as November-Purusha. There will be a lot of fluctuations in the energies this month as there are frequent shifts. He will help humanity to cope up with these.
November-Purusha is also an expert in Shielding. We can pray to him for shielding and protection and to receive all the energies in a balanced way. We can also pray for his support in shielding us from the pandemic, and other negativity.

The Special days for Meditation in November are—
14th Nov — Naraka Chaturdashi, Worship of Goddess Mahalakshmi
15th Nov — Diwali, Amavasya
16th Nov — Bali Padyami
The tradition of the festival of Diwali began in the times of Lord Rama when the people of Ayodhya celebrated His return after killing Ravana and rescuing Sita. The people decorated the entire city with lamps and celebrated this joyous occasion by bursting crackers.
This tradition continues even now where the festival of lights is celebrated across India. People greet their relatives and friends, share sweets, decorate their houses with soft glowing lamps and burst firecrackers. The new moon day is the day of the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya.
The preceding day is known as Naraka Chaturdashi. This was the day when the evil rakshasa, Narakasura was killed by Lord Krishna. The victory of God’s Light over the darkness of the demon is celebrated on this day.
The day following the New Moon day is known as Bali Padyami. It commemorates the defeat of the demon king Bali at the hands of Vamana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
These three occasions are symbolic of the victory of Light over darkness and hence also known as the Festival of Lights. This is the occasion when energies are available to remove the darkness present within us and replace it with God’s Light and purity.

These three days will be very energetic and auspicious. It is a wonderful period for Sankalpas, meditation and to connect to Light. This will also be an opportune moment to pray for Light and Peace on Earth, and this is very much required now.
Generally, the occasion of Diwali is associated with new beginnings and opportunities as well as new energies and change. This year, the Rishis have facilitated the direct connection with Light (God) during these three days. We will be able to connect to Light, experience as well as seek guidance and blessings.
It is a rare and wonderful opportunity. This along with the blessings from our ancestors during Amavasya and energies of Goddess Mahalakshmi makes it a wonderful period for introspection and contemplation and strengthening our Meditation.
Spend more time connecting to Light and try to shift your Awareness to the Light radiating and shining within you. This is the true purpose of this occasion; to experience the Light shining within.

On Amavasya day, practice the Amavasya technique as well.
29th Nov — Shiva Deepa
30th Nov — Vishnu Deepa, Purnima
On the occasion of Shiva and Vishnu Deepa, we shall have the energies from Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu on our Earth. These energies will especially help in the inner cleansing of our system and thereby help us to radiate with Light.
These two days will carry important energies and Light for Sadhana and Sankalpa. The energies will also help the individual to balance their material and spiritual aspects of life. This is very important in the present as well as the coming period.
The occasions of Shiva Deepa and Vishnu Deepa are special. These occasions help us experience the Formless through a Form. In fact, we will be able to experience both of these Realities simultaneously, which is a very unique occurrence.
These couple of days are also influenced by the Lunar Eclipse and the energies of Purnima. Spend more time in solitude and Meditation and make the best of the opportunity.

30th Nov — Lunar Eclipse 1:02pm to 5:23pm IST
The duration of the eclipse is between 07:23 to 11:53 GMT/UT

The effects of this eclipse along with the Solar Eclipse in December will determine many aspects of our life and events of Earth next year. Many important decisions will be taken and executed by the Divine. It will be a turning point for various situations and circumstances to manifest.
The Eclipse will bring many changes – both the positive and the not so positive. Its impact on our lives solely depends on us, and our actions. The effects will not be immediate but they will influence change for a long period and will give us enough time to tune in and cope up.
The Lunar Eclipse energies also help with healing, working on our shortcomings and for protections. These energies along with the energies from Lord Shiva and Lord MahaVishnu makes it a very auspicious period and an amazing period for Sadhana

The Rishis also mention that this day is amazing to be of service to humanity. We can offer our expertise for free and help others especially the ones that need it the most. As an example, if you are a doctor, treat the patients without collecting a fee. Or donate, volunteer. The Rishis themselves look forward to such occasions. They mention that being of service to God’s creation on such an auspicious day is like a Guru Dakshina to God and gratitude for the wonderful Creation and diversity of life that we experience.
