‘Kyoto Winter 2018’ – At Home with Venetia in Kyoto (NHK World program), Time-sensitive – VOD available only until 02-APR-18 (JST)
Quoting from the introduction to the program on the NHK World VOD (Video On Demand) site:
British-born Venetia lives in Ohara, Kyoto.
She gathers twigs for her wood-burning stove, wards off the winter chills with herbal tea, and plants winter-hardy Christmas Roses.
In Kyoto, she sees a roof-tile maker creating shoki rooftop ornaments. In Nara, she joins an old friend to visit a forest near the city where she feels the profundity of the ancient capital’s culture coexisting with nature.
The next day she goes to Todaiji Temple and visits Kaimon Yoshimizu, a young Buddhist sculptor.
