Summary:
Join me on my relaxing solo hike to Everest Base Camp and beyond.
Continuing my trek from the valleys below, I march onward, crossing three breathtaking passes, summiting two peaks, relaxing at the crystal-clear Gokyo Lake, and spotting the immense Everest Base Camp from afar. All the while walking under Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, and other giants in the backdrop.
The trek took place in May 2023.
Even Everest Base Camp can be seen off the beaten path. By taking an unusual route, you can experience the more authentic side of Khumbu and the Nepal Himalayas.
Instead of flying into Lukla and following the same direct route to Everest Base Camp, I walked into Namche Bazaar from lower in the valley, and I completed the Three Passes Trek route in reverse. I hope you like it 🙂
